Privacy Policy

JamCatWow is a daily games site run by JamCatBiz. This page explains what we collect, where it lives, and what we never do with it. The short version: you can play everything without an account, your play history lives in your own browser, and we don't sell data or run ads.

Playing without an account

No account is needed to play. Your results, streaks, and theme choice live in your browser's local storage, on your device; we keep no copy of your play history unless you sign in. Clearing your browser's site data erases them. Playing does send anonymous usage events, described under Measurement.

If you create an account

An account is optional. It exists so your results can follow you across devices. When you sign up we store:

• Your email address, and a password if you set one. It goes straight to Supabase, our sign-in and database provider, and is stored hashed. Our code never sees it.
• With Google sign-in: the name, email address, and profile picture Google shares with us. We never see your Google password.
• Your daily results: which game, which day, the tier and points you earned, and whether you beat the Creator.
• Whether you are a Supporter.

We email you only about your account: sign-up confirmation and password resets. No marketing email.

Measurement

We measure how the site is used so we can tell which games are working. A random id stored in your browser is attached to usage events, things like a game being started, finished (with its score), or a result being shared. It's a random string, not your name, and it never follows you to other sites.

Our analytics tool is PostHog, configured without cookies. It honors your browser's Do Not Track setting, and it may record replays of how screens get used (scrolls and taps, tied to that random id) so we can fix the confusing ones. If you sign in, we link the random id to your account so you are counted once, not twice. Cloudflare, our host, also gives us aggregate traffic counts without cookies.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact page, we keep what you send (your message and whichever contact details you include) so we can read it and reply.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own while you are signed out. Signing in sets Supabase session cookies that keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who handles data for us

A few services run under the hood: Supabase stores accounts and results and handles sign-in. Cloudflare serves the site. PostHog stores usage events in the United States. Resend delivers our notification email. They process this data to run JamCatWow, not for their own purposes.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account any time from account settings. That removes your profile and every synced result with it. Anonymous play lives in your browser, so clearing site data removes that side. For anything else, ask through the contact page and we will sort it out.

Children

JamCatWow is a general-audience site. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Playing needs no account and no personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
